Sakura Scene 2009

The perfect timing of Cherry blossoms in Tokyo in this year was last week. People sit down underneath trees and enjoy having food or drinks as the first picture of blue sheets.

However I prefer just walking a street lined with trees and having drinks or chatting with friends. I feel it's more respectful to Trees.

They have gone through sweltering summer and chilly winter to show the beautiful blooms to us. And I have heard that the roots are vulnerable so that they can be easily damaged.
So watch out people!

By the way, I often ask people which sex they think of the trees. They all say that cherry trees are females. However I think it's opposite.

I am sorry you have deleted my comments in the past. I don't know what I did to offend you but I am sorry if I did do something to make you delete my comments.

All I want to say is I live on the other side of the world...I love your pictures...I want nothing more than to see more... because I am a humble gentle soul who just wants to know and communicate with those who live in Japan.

Great Pictures. I love that they are BIG so I can see the detail. Keep them coming please. Thank you.

Hi, Chow Wo Man
I have never deleted anyone's comments here. Same as the first message from someone.
Why people would think that I need to do it?

Hiking @ Mt. Fuji

Pictures of Mt. Fuji where one of spiritual places in Japan. You can drive to halfway up the mountain. It's about two hours hiking course from there. Many people like to try climbing up Mt. Fuji. It's a popular way that people spend a night at a co ttage and start around 2am to see sun rise at the top, however I have never tried it. R einforcement work is under way as mountain slope is sliding down. I didn't make any effort, instead I just felt autumn there. It was a clear day after rainy days that took off orange osmanthus petals. Fujisan with rainbow Rain cleanses us and brings next season.

Aomori

The northernmost part of Honshu(Main Land). It's about 700km away from Tokyo. Where The lantern festival take place. Where Tsugaru Shamisen originated. 8 hours driving. Easy driving. Food! Pink flowers and shrine. Pink pink pink. Season goes a little later than Tokyo. Plants took over the house. How pretty you are. This mountain called Osorezan , which is one of spiritual places in Japan.

Edo Sushi Sasaki

Sushi Sasaki @ Ginza People in Edo started to have Sushi and a restaurant started using fresh fish. 'Edo' means old Tokyo during from the 17th to 19th centuries where used to be a city of Samurai, and Osaka is for merchant at the time. Uni (Sea urchin) And NOW, Sushi chef in Osaka cut up a fish from stomach but chef in Tokyo do it from back. Because Harakiri (commit ritual suicide by disembowelment) is avoidable for Samurai, and Hara wo waru ('Breaking stomach' means heart to heart talk) is high end spirit for merchant. That's what the chef at Sasaki talked ^^. Sake Ebi (Prawn) Toro (Fatty Tuna) Anago (Conger) Uni (Sea urchin)
