I was in a cafe this afternoon as usual weekends
and writing something about my latest concerns on my mac.
When I nearly finished writing 3000 Japanese letters,
this woman who was wearing Kimono with grey hair, having black coffee,
asked if she could sit my table.
I replied, 'Please' then went back on my work.
She continued 'With no sugar?'
I answered 'You can get them at counter'.
She brought back two syrups and one sugar stick.
I thought they were too much but didn't say anything and kept re-writing.
Two syrups were went in the coffee and one stick sugar went thrown in the one of plastic bags placed on the floor.
She asked if I was working with PC.
I replied vaguely yes and no.
She looked a wealthy and elegant old lady likely often living in this neighborhood,
but somehow I could feel that she wanted to talk with someone and someone would have been me at that time. She was just drinking coffee while I was facing the screen as if we were bored couple.
I was harrying to finish my writing because it was online and didn't want to lose them.
When she said 'I put too much sugar. The coffee is too sweet'.
I quickly saved my document and closed PC and smiled at her.
'Sometime sweets heal fatigues, don't they.'
Then we started to have conversation.
Her way of life was amazing.
They were interesting yet informative and those were just related to my concerns and I needed them at that very moment.
This is kind of support from the Guardian spirit.
When you meditate, asking about your question, sometimes you get the answer during meditation but sometimes it comes in different timing.
One of my concerns was leaving my company and starting business by my own.
She agreed with my idea and added self-employed working might be good for once in a life time.
She had been owner of a club in Ginza where is the most exclusive area in Tokyo for 40 years and she was a loyal customer of my company for 40 years.
She mentioned my company name before I spoke it out.
Also she could make Soba, which I love and am thinking of opening Soba shop, and her #1 hobby was reading even more, She has been keeping diary for decades.
I said 'I'd love to read them'.
She replied 'Yes, there are so much stories that I never have told anyone before, and maybe I was looking for someone to share them.'
At the end, she thanked me and handed over her rosary of coral as a memory of our encounter.
We exchanged our numbers.
Her name is Michiko as the same as our Empress.
I'll write more about her story if we meet again.
